Arthly is a personal-finance app built to be private by default. It keeps your financial life on your device and sends none of it to us — because there is no “us” server to send it to.
The whole policy in four lines. The detail below only expands on these.
Arthly has no user accounts and no backend. When you add a transaction or a goal, it is written to your phone’s local storage and stays there. We cannot see it, we do not receive a copy, and it is never synced to a cloud server.
Because your data never reaches us, there is nothing on our side to be breached, sold, or handed over. Your privacy is enforced by how the app is built, not just by this promise.
All of the following is kept locally, in the app’s own storage, and never transmitted:
Transactions (amount, title, category, date, payment mode, notes), category budgets, income and spending history.
Investments and their contribution ledgers, accounts, liabilities, savings goals, and monthly net-worth snapshots.
A card’s name, the last four digits only, bill amount and due date. Arthly never stores full card numbers, CVV, or PIN.
Your name, an optional profile photo, your app preferences (theme, language), and your 4-digit unlock PIN — all held on-device.
To show live gold, silver and currency rates and to value mutual funds, the app fetches public market data from the sources below. These requests ask only for a rate — they carry none of your personal or financial information.

Arthly does not add any identifier of its own, and no rate provider receives your transactions, balances, or identity.
Only when you choose to set a profile picture, through your system’s image picker. The image is stored on your device.
For local reminders about bills, SIPs and credit-card due dates. These are scheduled on your phone — no push server is involved.
Optional. If you enable Face/Touch unlock, it is handled entirely by your device’s operating system and never leaves it.
When you export your data to a file, you choose where it goes via the system share sheet. That action, and its destination, are entirely yours.
Because nothing is stored on our side, deleting on your device is a complete deletion — there is no server copy to request.
Depending on where you live, data-protection laws give you rights to access a summary of your data, to have it corrected, deleted, or ported, to grievance redressal, and to object to any sale of your data. This includes India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU/UK GDPR, and California’s CCPA/CPRA, among others.
Arthly meets all of them by design: because we do not collect, store, sell, or process any of your personal data on our side, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, transfer, or delete on your behalf — your data stays only in your hands, and you can edit, export, or erase it yourself at any time. If you have any concern or want to exercise a right, contact us using the details below and we will respond.
Arthly is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under the age of digital consent in their country (16 under the GDPR; up to 18 under India’s DPDP Act). We do not knowingly collect information from children — and, as above, we do not collect information from anyone.
If Arthly ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled — for example optional cloud backup or sync — we will update this policy, raise the effective date, and ask for your explicit consent before any of your data leaves your device.
